We have many great books in the Preston Photographic Club’s Library. One of them is Galen Rowell: A Retrospective.

Rowell is an adventure photographer and A Retrospective collects more than 175 of his magnificent images representing all phases and dimensions of his amazing career. Here’s what Preston Photographic Club member Fabian Scarmozzino had to say about Galen Rowell: A Retrospective.

I just finished reading Galen Rowell: A Retrospective. Wow! Great inspiration! It makes you want to go and explore the beautiful nature out there. He loved rock-climbing and also liked to put himself in a lot of his photos to add dramatic effect. As I love taking landscape photos myself, I found all his photos great and beautiful. The only thing I didn’t like about him is that he used a Nikon; I’m a Canon user (laughs).
