Sensitive Santa

Sensitive Santa
Sensitive Santa

For the second year in a row, a couple of members of the club have volunteered with the Span Community House Sensitive Santa program. The Sensitive Santa program offers families with children on the autistic spectrum, the opportunity to meet Santa and have their photo taken in a quiet environment far from the chaos of Christmas time shopping centres. This was my second year volunteering and it was equally rewarding as the first. It’s truly a privilege to be part of the Sensitive Santa experience.

Sensitive Santa happens all over Melbourne and will be happening again next year. If your family or a family you know would enjoy taking part, keep a look out here for locations and dates

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

light treeOur club year has ended with a great presentation night and I would like to congratulate all who took out honours for 2015.

The PPC Committee will be working hard over the break to get our 2016 program of competitions, workshops and activities into the calendar as soon as possible so you can get organized and start planning.

I will post the program and dates within the next week.

If you are a visitor to this site I would like to invite you to come along in the New Year to our club and bring along a friend orΒ two.

Williamstown Camera Club Celebrates 50 years

22nd June, 2015By filed in News

To celebrate the Williamstown Camera Club’s 50th birthday, the club will present an exhibition of their members’ photographs during the month of July at the Gallery at the Williamstown Library. Members will be exhibiting their favourite photographs and each image will be accompanied with a portrait of the photographer and a description of their chosen image.

The exhibition is free and runs from 1-31 July 2015. All members of the community are welcome to view the exhibition and learn more about the clubs activities.

The exhibition will be launched on Saturday, 4th July by Hobsons Bay Mayor Colleen Gates and original club founder, Trevor Young. This exhibition has been made possible by a grant from Hobsons Bay City Council.
