ICE stitches 200 pictures to create a panorama of the Golden Gate Bridge.

You want to take a long shot, but you don’t have a wide angle lens. What do you do?

Take multiple overlapping exposures and stitch them together to create a large stitched image. Not a whiz with with Photoshop? Try Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE).

ICE is a free, advanced panoramic image stitcher. Download the software, drop your image files into the program, and it will do all the work for you. ICE seamlessly combines your images to create a high-resolution panorama. It can even do an automatic crop to give you the biggest possible rectangular stitched image. When you are finished you can save it, or publish it on the web using Photosynth.
